Description
Abstract
The zoning layer was derived from a variety of source maps, including; Federal Emergency Management Agency floodplain maps, Department of Natural Resources Wisconsin Wetland Inventory maps, Waupaca County Orthophotos, Waupaca County original zoning maps, and Waupaca County GIS parcel layer. Since the County does not have jurisdiction over Cities or Villages, zoning classifications for these areas are not included in this layer.
Purpose
This information is intended to be used primarily for the base layer for overlaying all of the digital layers that were digitized in the parcel conversion efforts of Waupaca County. It is not intended to be of survey accuracy.

Spatial data quality
Horizontal positional accuracy
Relative horizontal positional accuracy for the placement of the zoning boundaries is dependent on the source documents and is estimated at +/-25 feet. Current maintenance strives to improve the horizontal positional by comparing the digital boundaries against measurement information contained in the original source documents and making adjustments as needed.
